Nicolas K

  Nicholas K is a New York based design company, founded in January of 2003 by siblings Nicholas and Christopher Kunz. He first collection, Fall 2003 sold through 35 top women’s specialty boutiques across U.S. and Japan.Nicholas K was determined with the intent of providing sophisticated customers with modern classics to become wardrobe staples.Nicholas L Kunz attended FIT in New York and the Polimoda School of Design, in Florence. When she returned to America she worked with designer companies such as Nautica, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hillfiger and Polo. Christopher L Kunz graduated with an MBA, summa cum laude from the Eller Graduate School of Management in Marketing and Finance, 
and has a BS majoring in both Biochemistry 
and Molecular Cellular Biology. Before the label Nicholas K, Christopher worked 
with the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

The designers found inspiration on a 

trip by Kunz going upstate America. 

They played around with texture and 

mixed them up with cozy pieces in black, 

using fabric such 

as velvet emerald that were layered. 

Kunz interest in the real respect for the

 way people adapt their designs to their 

own ends. Kunz is a detailed driven 

designer who understands that it’s

 the subtleties of proportion and fit

 and the functional elements that are added to the collections that make them special.
